ITINERARY
DAY 1: CUSCO – LARES - QUISWHUARANI
Leaving
from Cusco at 7:30 on a private bus, and drive for 2hrs.
towards Lares the starting point of our trek. Here, we
will spend time bathing in the hot springs before having
lunch. Accompanied by mules and llamas to carry our
packs, we begin our hike up the Andean community of
Quishuarani (3700m.) were - we have a stunning view of
the snow-capped peak, Colque Cruz (5700m.). enjoying the
villagers herding their sheep and llamas unfold before
us. Slowly hiking upward, we camp next to turquoise

DAY 2: QUISHUARANI - CANCHA CANCHA
Today we
enjoy the small andean community of Quishuarani and the
waterfalls following an original Inca stone path. As we
reach the Pachacutec mountain pass (4500m.), we have
spectacular views of the snow caped peaks of Pitusiray
(5750m.) and Chicon (5500m.). We can see the Suirococha
lagoon located next to the village of Cancha Cancha

DIA 3: CANCHA CANCHA - OLLANTAYTAMBO
- MACHUPICCHU
The last
day hiking from the village of Cancha Cancha, passing
thatched-roof stonehouses and pastoral farmlands. The
trail comes out atSayhuapata (2800m.), from where our
private bus will take us tothe legendary Inca town of
Ollantaytambo after the lunch we take train to Aguas
Calientes (tourist class).
DIA 4: MACHUPICCHU – CUSCO
Today we
will go by bus to Machu Picchu, for a guided tour in the
site (2hrs. approximately) and then you will have time
to climb the mountain of Hayna Picchu that overlooks the
ruins. Return to Aguas Calientes at about 2pm to take
